My daughter Lily won her first trophy. On Saturday June 2nd, she ran a 2k race at her school. She came in second place among the girls! She is pretty proud of herself as she should be. She ran with her Aunt Cathy who seems to think I have quite the little runner on my hands. I guess now we just need to keep her going with it.
I was told it was a 2k walk/run so I decided to walk it, however I was the only one walking. How embarrasing! It did get better at the end because quite a few people ended up walking the remainder so i didn't come in last:) That might have had something to do with the fact that I followed a man and his son at the end of the race and they didn't go the full course. So I guess I kinda cut a corner. Oh well it was fun especially seeing the kids faces when they won their trophy's!
